Visit Britain, the official agency for the British tourism industry, has launched a new UK-wide industry standard and consumer mark, in partnership with the national tourism organisations of Northern Ireland, Scotland and Wales, to provide a ‘ring of confidence’ for tourism as the sector works towards reopening.
The ‘We’re Good to Go’ industry standard and supporting mark means that businesses across the sector, like Cotswold Exploring, can demonstrate that they are adhering to the respective Government and public health guidance, have carried out a COVID-19 risk assessments and checked that they have the required processes in place.
If you see the “We’re Good to Go” logo, you know that the company offering those services has undergone rigorous testing to ensure that they meet the required protocols of hygiene and cleanliness, and social distancing guidelines, so ensuring the safety of staff and visitors alike. In addition, an ‘alert’ system has also been set up to ensure that businesses signed up to the ‘We’re Good to Go’ industry standard are notified if there are changes to the official guidance. A call-handling service provides support and assessors will also carry-out random spot-checks to ensure businesses are adhering to the guidance.
Here at Cotswold Exploring we are proud to have signed up to this initiative, which we believe will reassure visitors that it is safe, once more, to tour the delightful Cotswold region in our private minibus. As an element of participating in the scheme, we have reduced the maximum number of passengers we can carry to ensure we meet social distancing requirements (dependant upon the size of family groups and ‘bubbles’) and the vehicle is cleaned thoroughly before and after every trip. In addition, we offer guests hand sanitizer and anti-viral wipes, and we require face coverings to be worn at all times.
